Celebrating the 12th year of Cosplay Chess at Anime Los Angeles, come watch one of ALA’s must see events! Naruto vs Detective Conan, Ghost Rider teaming up with Ash Ketchum. Thank you very much for applying for Anime Los Angeles 2020’s Cosplay Chess event!  Each year we try our best to improve the event not only for the participants but for the viewers as well.  Before you continue, Please be aware that by applying for this event it does not guarantee your participation. In order to participate, you will have to give us some information on who you are, how you’d like to participate, and just who you may be showing up as! Character choice is very important to help us set up the teams for the event!

If you are selected to participate you will receive an email to confirm that you have been selected to participate along with extra information for: Basic game-play, Meet-up times, Orientations, and Dropping. Please know that if you are accepted we do expect you to either attend or let us know that you cannot participate in a timely manner. Anime LA’s Cosplay Chess requires all willing participants to fill out the application form below. Entrants will be accepted on a first come first serve basis until all 32 spots are filled. Any submissions after that will be wait-listed in case of a no-show.

The deadline for applications is December 15th, 2019.

Terms and Conditions

  1. As a participant of “Cosplay Chess” you agree that whenever you interact with another piece you will not make any physical contact that could potentially hurt the other participants. This includes, pushing, shoving, punching, kicking, grabbing, throwing, stabbing, slashing, etc. If you are to attack someone you won’t actually hit him/her or pick him/her up. If you end up seriously hurting someone or cannot follow the rules set forth you will not be allowed to participate the following year.
  2. If you are not the attacking or defending piece you will not interfere, enter, or participate in the current bout. If your assistance is asked for then that is fine but the rule 1 still applies.
  3. You will not use any vulgar language during the event. Try your hardest to keep it PG.
