Fall Is Here! Time To Get Things ROLLING!
Panel applications have closed and we’re locking in programming! That also means we’re getting many other event aspects ready too! From Ribbon Group Orders to Cosplay Gathering applications, now is the time to make sure all your ducks are in a row!
This quarter’s email is gonna cover a few of these things so be sure to read it all the way through! To get things started, we’re running it back at the Queen Mary!
An Evening On Deck Is Back Again!
We’re very excited to be working with the Queen Mary again to bring our Wednesday Night Pre-Convention event, An Evening On Deck, for all of our attendees who are picking up their Full Event Badges on Wed, Jan 6th!
If you are planning to pick up your Full Event (4-day) badge on Wednesday, you can head on over to the Queen Mary for a scenic evening onboard the ship! Visit the Observation Bar and have a specialty drink (non-alcoholic options available) just to celebrate the weekend! Already excited to wear your cosplay? Take advantage of the amazing view and setting that the Queen Mary provides and get some stellar photos with the cityscape and the water to set the mood!
For those of you staying on the Queen Mary, some complimentary drinks will be available to each guest in your room! If you’re driving over, just show your badge and your parking will be free! We can’t wait to see you all aboard~
Important Hotel Block Info
This year we were able to implement a waitlisting system for our Hotel Block, which we have seen working very well so far. We’re happy to see folks get the rooms they need before the con!
Before we get to January, we have an important reminder for those who are using the waitlist. In early December, we will be handing over all of the reservation data to the various hotels within our block. In order to do that, any reservations that still have a waitlisted night attached to their booking will not be kept based on passkey’s functionality.
In order to ensure that the rooms you’ve booked are locked in and you are able to check in when you arrive for ALA. Please make sure to remove any waitlisted nights from your booking by the beginning of December! If you have any more questions, please contact [email protected]
Place Your Ribbon Orders!
Making sure you have ribbons to trade or give out is the biggest must have during ALA! If you need to lock in some ribbons and save some money, Our Group Ribbon Order is the way to go!!!
You can head on over to https://animelosangeles.org/ribbon-order/ to learn more about pricing, important dates, and design details! Order your ribbons through us, then pick them up as soon as Day 1 of the convention and hit the ground running!
Cosplayers, ASSEMBLE!
Cosplay Gatherings are one of the best ways to make friends, meet new people, and see some of your favorite characters come together in real life! And Cosplay gatherings aren’t possible without the wonderful community members who host them! If you haven’t signed up yet, Cosplay Gathering applications are open until December 18th!
If you’d like to host a gathering during Animé LA 22, head on over to https://animelosangeles.org/project/cosplay-gatherings/ and submit an application today! You can also visit our public discord server to connect with other attendees and see what gatherings are being planned or organized!
