ALA’s Previous Featured Designers

VENIA

Ancient Latin
(Noun) – Elegance of beauty or form, manner, motion, or action.

VENIA is an adventure driven brand bridging the gap between fantasy and reality. Drawing inspiration from the spirit of adventure in a dystopian universe, each collection manifests itself in the form of seasonal stories imprinted with deep reflections of nature, society, and postmodern phenomena.

Unconventional silhouettes and traditional craftsmanship are utilized to convey each season’s narrative. The seamless blend of languid asymmetrical shapes and precision tailoring emphasize a masculine and feminine duality; a common thread present in the brand’s design ethos. Through a unique combination of Fashion, Art, and Multimedia Narrative Storytelling, each collection focuses on sustainable development and progressive design.

VENIA is seen on many artists who share the same story driven vision such as: Lady Gaga, Nine in Nails, Korn, BORIS, Avenged Sevenfold, Tinashe, Gryffin, Seven Lions, and many more.

Elf Eleven x Marleen Ettema

Elf Eleven is back and teaming up with Marleen Ettema. Your two new favorite irl anime charecters. Their collaborative project named Trashion 4 Fashion tells the magical story of two girls with a passion for trash and fashion who decide to join forces. A match made in trash-heaven (or hell). Step into their Trashion universe: a world of poetic contradictions, bold silhouettes, clashing colors, cult references, everything at once and nothing at all. Trashion is about finding the beauty in trash and turning it into one of one creations with an ethereal edge.

Analeia

Coming from a whimsical childhood with a background in illustration, Analeia has a flair reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland that marries streetwear.

Sweet meets hard by balancing pastels, ruffles, and bows with rugged reconstruction and hardware.

There is a dreamlike, almost doll-like atmosphere that offers an escape into playful surrealism.

Analeia’s goal is to create clothing that makes everyday life feel a little less mundane, adding touches of fantasy in a modern and fun way.

Madison Jewelinski

The Madison Jewelinski brand reimagines high-end streetwear through the lens of self discovery. Influenced by worlds of heightened emotion and
visual storytelling, her work channels the evolution of identity – from chaos to clarity, doubt to power. Her latest collection explores creative
overstimulation: the beauty and exhaustion of feeling everthing all at once, and the art that emerges from it. Each garment merges precision tailoring with expressive hardware and texture, designed for those who see fashion as both armor and release. Jewelinski’s world is bold, raw, and cinematic – where every look feels like a story in motion and every piece carries its own pulse.

Miss Alphabet

Miss Alphabet is a Vogue published indie designer whose roots go all the way back to 2004. During her fashion studies at a community
college, she discovered an underground LiveJournal community of fellow designers and began selling her wares on eBay. Her original
inspirations were punk and midcentury vintage, then switched to Fairy Kei and 80’s after discovering the Japanese brand Spank! Since then,
she’s appeared in various fashion shows, including the Fall/Winter 2024 show at Tokyo Fashion Week! She also maintains that everyone
deserves to look cute, no matter their shape and size! Miss Alphabet continues to be inspired by the 80’s and experiments with a more maximalist edge in this collection, which she has named “Dream Mall.”

BAA x Serendipity Sky

BAA is a fashion label created by Tyrell Begay. Aided with a certificate in Fashion Merchandising, they are inspired by their indigenous heritage,
contemporary fashion, Japanese street fashion, anime, science fiction, world building, and electronic music. BAA, the Shoshone/Paiute name for
water, creates a world blended with many of these concepts put together to create fashion collections that people within these backgrounds and
interests can relate to so they can come together with a shared interest. Serendipity Sky is a clothing and design studio with a focus on gender and size inclusive clothing. Sky is a nonbinary designer and creator who graduated with a BFA in costume design who creates bespoke garments
for clients generally within the cosplay, performance, and Japanese streetwear community.

RONOVA

RONOVA (rō-nō-vä) is honored to be returning to Anime Los Angeles’ Fashion Show and hope you will join us as we present a continuation of
our wholly impractical looks for your enjoyment.

From these fashion show looks, Ronova loves creating feminine looks that are inspired in part by the niche fashion cultures of Japan and Korea, and the decadent Rococo and Baroque fashion period. Combining the traditional construction and shapes for a modern world, Ronova continues to push herself to create pieces that are a bit different and fun, but also functional in the real world.
