“Amber “FoxyVox” May is an African American Voiceover Artist who is known for her work in animation, video games, announcements, and interactive children’s toys. She is a native of Richmond,Virginia, who now resides in Los Angeles,CA.

Amber grew up in Chesterfield, Virginia, just on the outskirts of Richmond. She attended the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg,VA and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Media. This major was created by her, using the university’s existing curriculum, and proposed to the school’s committee. To this day it is now an official major at her alma mater.

Throughout her life, Amber loved creating silly voices to make people laugh, especially children. She utilized this skill when she worked in numerous Summer camps and even aboard the 5-star ocean liner, Disney Cruise Line in 2017. As a Youth Entertainment Counselor, she was recognized for her outstanding work in keeping hundreds of children engaged in a variety of Disney-themed activities.

Over the past decade, Amber has provided her voiceover expertise to over 100 different media projects. Some of her most known roles are that of Dehya in Genshin Impact, Yanqing in Honkai Star Rail, Barbie “Brooklyn” Roberts in Mattel’s movie Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams, and the quick-witted Narrator in Komi Can’t Communicate. Amber’s credits also include Pokemon Journeys, Fitness Circuit, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, Lupin the Third, Shadowverse Showdown, Kemono Friends, and the webtoon from Glitch Productions, Sunset Paradise.

Amber dreams to not only voice a memorable character in a Disney animated feature, but to also teach voiceover to children and open a studio in her hometown of Chesterfield,VA.
