Carl Horn – Featured Guest

Carl Horn is a senior editor at Dark Horse Comics in Milwaukie, Oregon, specializing in Dark Horse’s line of English editions of manga, light novels, and art books from Japan, including Berserk (Kentaro Miura, Studio Gaga, and Kouji Mori), The Credits Roll Into the Sea (John Tarachine), Gunsmith Cats (Kenichi Sonoda), Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (TAGRO), Keep Your Hands off Eizouken! (Sumito Oowara), Planetes (Makoto Yukimura), Vampire Hunter D (Hideyuki Kikuchi and Yoshitaka Amano), and the H.P. Lovecraft manga adaptations of Gou Tanabe. He has worked on English editions of manga since 1997, when he began at Viz Media in San Francisco on titles including Neon Genesis Evangelion (Yoshiyuki Sadamoto), Banana Fish (Akimi Yoshida), Excel Saga (Rikdo Koshi), and Golgo 13 (Takao Saito). In 2025 he shared the American Manga Award with Riley VanDyke for Best Production Design on Planetes Deluxe Edition Book One.
