MELANIE MACQUEEN portrayed two of ROBOTECH’s greatest heroines as Lisa Hayes in The Macross Saga and Ariel/Marlene in The New Generation. In addition to ROBOTECH, she lent her voice to many pioneering anime releases including MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO, KIKI’S DELIVERY SERVICE, CRYING FREEMAN, and CASSHAN: ROBOT HUNTER. She has been acting, directing, writing and teaching in the LA area for over forty years, with a wide variety of guest appearances on TV such as BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, PARKER LEWIS CAN’T LOSE, THE WONDER YEARS, and L.A. LAW, along with movies like DOC HOLLYWOOD and MOUSEHUNT. Melanie has directed, produced, and acted in multiple theatre productions, and her performance in “THE MIRACLE WORKER” at the Commonwealth Theatre won her a Best Performance Dramalogue Award and the musical “IN THE NAME OF GOD: OR HONK IF YOU LOVE SATIRE which she co-wrote won numerous awards. She has been programming director of KIDS ACTING OUT! and was a founding member of THE THEATRE OF NOTE (New One Act Theatre Ensemble) in the Hollywood area.
